Kim Akia is an actress, screenwriter, and producer from New Jersey. Kim Akia has worked on award-winning films & TV pilots and has appeared as a principal actor in numerous television commercials & Industrials for brands: IBM, Oreo Thins, Microsoft, Pfizer, Honeywell, Sesame Street, The Home Depot, Lyft, Harlequin Romance Novels, Goldman Sachs, New Jersey Lottery and more... She was also a recurring principal promo actor for CBS's Good Morning America, appearing in their promos for Keurig Latte and Air Wick. She landed her first co-star role on ABC's Primetime hit show, "Blue Bloods" in season 9 and has done voice-overs work for IBM, Harlequin Romance Novels, The Home Depot, and more. Kim Akia is also a screenwriter. Most recently she was a writer for Etre Productions writer's room in Atlanta, Georgia. Within the writers' room, she co-wrote commercials, reality TV shows, short films, and a scripted television series. Kim Akia wrote and produced her first short film, “ALIENated” in 2018 and currently has a few short films in development. Before becoming a full-time actor, Kim Akia worked at Talent Partners, Media Services, and Talent Solutions as a Commercial and Feature Films Paymaster. While there, she became very knowledgeable in reading and interpreting SAG-AFTRA Commercial and TV Contracts. Kim Akia started BOOK that Commercial, LLC to assist actors in auditioning and booking advertising commercials. She is repped commercially and theatrically by The People Store in the Southeast.
